peenk!

     So we got Vincent a new color. It's pink. It's bright pink. With a heart tag. Yep. He's a boy. But, as his mother I've made the decision that he's gay. Anyways, I couldn't get a good enough picture to post of his collar because that cat moves lightning fast. But here's a shitty photobooth photo, just for the hell of it!;

On another note, I seriously want this hair, NO JOKE. I would DIE for this hair {why is it so effing coral pink and perfect?!}::

     Anyhoo, debate tomorrow after the school. & I might go and watch people vomit at the county fair. Everybody needs amusement, even me. :)

e-mails, ah yes.

     So I sent an email to my Aunt & Uncle who live in Nevada.  They're the ones who payed for Eleanor, my laptop.  They are also the ones in indubitably payed for more than half of my current college funds, which stands at a mere €11100 or, in my case, a little over $15k. And so I "shot" them an email, as we Mainers say in our grossly bodies and our revolting excuse for what I like to call, proper "decent hygiene". Not that it goes that way for every Mainer, just a majority of the generations found afore mine.
     My Aunt swore herself if I did not show my efforts, she would personally fly back out here and kick my ass. Or otherwise said "Jag ska spöa dig." Right. So to show her my efforts, I sent her an email that read this;

Hello Aunt Sharon & Uncle Rob!

I received your calls, but I'm afraid I'm just now having the time to reply to you, even if it isn't over the phone. Just thought I'd give you a heads up on my current grades? I thought you'd appreciate the update.
These are my current grades:
Latin II - 93
Biology - 100
Honors English - 87
Honors US History - 90
Geometry - 90
Health - 81
Now my English is on the lower side because Mr. Ryan has not updated my grades. So, there are only 3 grades balancing out my final one as of now. For my summer homework in his class I received an 89. For participation in his class I have a 95, and for the first quiz I got an 82. I get the feeling a lot of people failed that, though. Anything lower than a 75 is not passing. I then gave myself a pat on the back.
     Well, I feel I've done fairly well for the first month of school. I assure you it will continue.
Hope you & the puppies are doing well!

Eva

PS - I don't talk on the phone much...I'm one of those people who need to plan out what they'll say before talking to someone!

     Aside from that venture, I've come to the decision that I won't be posting everything you see on the sidebar for post schedules. Or at least, not ritualistically. I've got my own mind and my own matters. I will attempt to keep to it, but being a Sophomore in high school and all: it's nearly impossible (and simply improbable).
     I have an American History essay due today, oh bother. But I digress. Today is the day the majority of my school rushes out of the front doors to go to the local September fair, always the last week of September. I honestly could not tell as to why hundreds of teenagers just love to "indulge" themselves in the greasy& fatty foods, smell cows and horses throughout the entire fairgrounds, go on mechanical monster pollutant makers called "rides" and then proceed to vomit up the greasy & fatty foods they so "indulge" themselves in. It's sickening, really. & I'm not just saying that because I'm somewhat anti social or religiously and psychologically removed. I'm saying that because it's the truth. & the truth is sometimes absolutely volatile.
     Video Production is the easiest credit to obtain. I've had an extra study hall for the past week. It's disgusting. It's absolutely disgusting. That's also something new I've picked up: the word "disgusting". I say it much too much. Oh well, I'll break the habit in a few days or so.
      Anyway, I've still been feeling a bit down. Tired, really. Tiredness results in crankiness. I have also refused for the creepy cameraman to take a part of my soul. I dread picture day.

a remedy of inspirations.

     I've been feeling a little rundown as of recent, possibly due to the incessant nagging of school teacher to study, study, study!  I've officially decided that Mr. Ryan is crazy, and that he is also possibly one of my best-loved teachers for that very reason.  He often wears cut-off jeans and flip-flops and his glasses are far from normal with their quirky frames.  Oh well, Sådant är livet.  Such is life.
     And so, to remedy this lagging annoyance that seems to pool at my temples with frustrate, I've come to realize one of the best ways to calm my stress hormones is to find some proper "decent inspirations".  This is what I've found thus far in the week;

Cosette Munch//via CrackCosette. You can find her Lookbook.nu here. Frankly, I find her absolutely gorgeous while others may not.

I very much enjoy this.

I love this, too.

This is something to live your life by.

As is this.

I LOVE this dress. - via VOGUE.

the skies lie to the gullable birdies.

     So, as promised, this is the first photography post on Thursday, as there will be a photography post every Thursday.  For this one I'm going to introduce some practice tips on taking photos and editing them.

     What I do to practice with my camera {because every photographer still needs practice, no matter what age or profession} is take pictures of my mother's and my cat. The following photos are of my mother's cat, Gracie, only because she's easier to photograph as my cat, Vincent, is nearly impossible to find.

1.  If you're going to photograph an animal, you're going to need to find out where their favored hiding place is. For example, below is a picture of Gracie sitting on the second step of the porch. She often sits there and so that would be a great opportunity to take a photo.

 2.    She also seems to enjoy rolling about in the construction area of my yard...which brings us to editing. I simply enhanced the coloring (which you can easily do with something as simple as iPhoto) and I messed with the contrast until it seemed fit. The enhancing brought a lot of the color to the front.

3. Here is some more editing (I used Flare for these ones - Flare is an extremely simple app that does a really good job, and it's worth the $6 [equivalent to €4.47]! It works well for visual editing but that's about it. If you want to draw or have a select tool, I'd suggest an Adobe Photoshop program).

Rounded edges are a beautiful way to finish off a photo! {I love rounded edges!}

And this is one of my favorites from my practice run, I think I might actually enter it in the local fair if it isn't too late!;

Also, here's the song of the post! I've been listening to it over and over and over again! It's so hypnotic & absolutely beautiful. Florence Welch and her voice really make me want to go out and use my camera or paint something blue and happy.

help?!

So I've planned out my new posting schedule & this is what I came up with thus far;
      - Sunday; "How to be an Effective Writer" post {I'll think of a better name later.}
     - Monday; Featured Blogger
     - Tuesday; Inspirations post
     - Wednesday; Gaming post
     - Thursday; Photography post
     - Friday; Art post
     - Saturday; Vlog or Et Cetera
                     - may include rant vlog,
                     - giveaway,
                     - language post,
                     - vlog about week?,
                     - et cetera.
     Also, earlier in Biology today, Anne & Emily {you can find Emily's blog here.} asked me to be Alice in the Spirit Week skit with a "Please, please, PLEASEEE???".  Of course, they mindlessly forgot that I'm not a perfect stick and that, yes, I am actually curvy and I weigh more than probably 50% of the girls here. Now, I'm no where near being overweight but I certainly do not live up to the standards of society nowadays.  Advertisements try and show off woman for their bodies for a completely unrelated reason, not to mention all of them fit.  Me? Average little me. I consider myself to be fat, my skin is not even remotely close to clear and I have a fear of people.
     And they want me to do that?
     I swear this is a new, morbid form of torture...for high schoolers.  They can use my outfits but as for me actually being in the skit...I'd say it's a 99.99% chance of negative unless some serious blackmail arises.
     Pessimism aside, I'm still contemplating whether or not I want to throw myself out there like that.

     PS - I've recently fell in love with this song {you can download it if you like by clicking on the downward facing arrow};
Panther Zeds Dead Remix by Barletta by A Blue Vincent
      PSS - A Blue Vincent is my SoundCloud so if any of you have some awesome music, you can email me (email link is under contact button in sidebar) the artist//song and I can put it up for you. :)

eventful, yes?

     First period, I sat through Knowles blabbing about something or rather and Nick shared his presentation for stage 1 which he, though it was inevitable and still we all found it astonishing, was unprepared for.
     Second period, not any more eventful than first.  Finished Honors US History War Packet.  Pack on "war".  Shocker.  Why is someone's death called a "casualty" when in fact it is the very opposite than "casual"?  It's as if we English people are trying to say death is a nothingness.  Ever so casual.  "Certainly my cup of tea, yes," they'd say. BAH!
     Advisory: a crescendo of bore.
     Fourth period I drew a beetle.  He was good beetle, he was, and it pained me to have to depart with him once I had finished.  I named him Frederic.  Commented on Mrs. G's shirt.  Purple. I quite like purple.
     D day means fifth period History.  Shoot me.  Yet another long and semi-monotonous class period of listening to Mrs. N's lectures and explanations about the homework.  Ah, well, it's the least bit of my worries.
     Went on the voyage of looking on my PowerSchool.  Good.  Holding 2 perfect, and solid, 100s thus far.  Rest of grades not updated as of now.  Lazy teachers are lazy.
     Video Production was a lovely period of doodles as Hasch never has anything interesting to teach us. My partner and I decided to do a stop motion for the homecoming dance commercials.  Of course, I'm the one doing the stop motion.
     Geometry tests, hoozah!...I'm kidding.  First one of the quarter, hope I did as well as I think I didn't. Now I have an explosion of mathematical algebra jargon for homework.
     End of day, bus ride still noisy.  Will is seriously stupid.  He's one of those people you look at and just shake your head and say, "ah yes, he'll be a delinquent."
     Above all, today was a very jumbled day.
     Also, look at the drawing{er, painting} I did of Cosette Munch.;;
{sorry bout the bad quality, I took a picture of it with my laptop camera, I'll eventually upload a better quality image of it.}

new case, new friend!

     Hey again guys, so here marks the day where I post at least 5 posts a week.
I just thought I would inform you of my new friend. Yes, that's right!: My new laptop.
I've named her Eleanor.

Also, on a final note, look what just arrived in the mail!;
Thus concluding with my over obsessive behavior towards Hello Kitty™.

natural skin treatments?

     Hey y'all! I thought I would just tell you all about the horrors of teenage life.
     That's right: acne. I have acne. And guess what? I broke out...bad! And it was on the first week of school, too! UGH!
     Currently I'm taking Erythromycin. Erythromycin is in a group of drugs called macrolide antibiotics. Macrolide antibiotics slow the growth of, or sometimes kill, sensitive bacteria by reducing the production of important proteins needed by the bacteria to survive.Erythromycin is used to treat many different types of infections caused by bacteria. - via Drugs.com.
     I'm thinking about trying a new product called IQQU Acne Serum, seeing as it is all natural and has so many good reviews. Oh well, my dermatologist and I will come to some sort of consensus this Wednesday. That's right. I have a dermatologist appointment on the 7th of September. Hopefully it will all be good news?
     Anyhoo, I thought I'd share some of the tips by my favorite Make-Up Artist, Michelle Phan, for skin care. This is what came up;
